Cornus  - The nearly indestructable Red Twig Dogwood! These stunners not only have four seasons of interest but, they tolerate a wide variety of soils,
Cornus s. Cardinalattract butterflies in spring, birds in fall, and best of all, ;the bark color intensifies in winter.  What more could you ask? Well, they don't just come in red anymore, try the very cool 'Arctic Fire,' with it's cream edged green leaves    (later in the season) and deep burgundy red bark, or 'Cardinal,' (shown) with bark that glows peachy orange to red, and finally, 'Bud's Yellow,' one of the    best and most colorful yellow bark selections available.          
                           

Tsuga canadensis Gentsch White

Conifers - Evergreen are not only the backbone of any garden,they ARE the winter season interest.  Without them, the few winter flowering shrubs and pansies would seem like mere blips in the landscape.  A few of our favorite, small sized, slow growing varieties are Tsuga 'Gentsch White' (shown) with silvery white new growth, Tsuga 'Jeddloh' with graceful arching branches, Chamaecyparis o. 'Lemon Twist' a great upright with contorted yellow branches, and the very formal Dwarf Hinoki Cypress, just to name a few.


Euphorbia Mini Martini

Euphorbia - All Spurge are not created equal, some are totally cute, well behaved, and look good all winter long, and 'Mini Martini' is one of them.  Each red tipped stem will explode with huge clouds of green-yellow bracts that cover the foliage in spring. To Cool!


Hamamelis - Winterhazel is one of the most beautiful and Hamamelis Jelenaunusual looking of the winter flowering shrubs.  Clusters of spider like flowers dangle from the bare branches in dead of winter.  Our selection includes the very desirable 'Jelena' with coppery orange blooms, 'Diane' maroon red blooms, and even a yellow flowered form in landscape sizes for instant impact, and maximum blooms - no waiting years for blooms!


Hellebores - We could go on all day about the amazing Lenten Helleborus Mellow Yellow StrainRose. Osmanthus heterophyllus 'Goshiki'

Osmanthus - Is it a Holly? No Way! This amazing group of plants is not only evergreen, and really tough, but it has Fragrant fall flowers tucked under the leaves! Try 'Goshiki,' for a blast of year round bright color. It's awesome for containers and small spaces.  


Gaultheria shallon -  Salal is one of the toughest and most Gaultheria shallonvaluable PNW Natives.  The luscious evergreen foliage is prized in the cut flower industry and in the forest by wildlife.  As if that wasn't enough, the pink spring bloom is amazing and followed by blue fruits that attract birds.
